JYOTI VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

JYOTI Volleyball Tournament is one of the premier and prestigious tournaments in the Steel City of Jamshedpur that was initiated by Jamshedpur Old Boys Association (JOBA) in 1998 on behalf of JYOTI. The Tournament began to receive recognition over the years. Today this Tournament has become one of the most awaited events for the sports lovers who wish to participate and compete with each other in volleyball. More than 35 teams of boys and girls categories participate in this tournament every year. This Tournament is conducted in DBMS High School, Farm Area.

JYOTI TOURNAMENT 2017

The JYOTI Volleyball Tournament was conducted by DBMS High School, Kadma from 16 to 19 of November, 2017. Fr.Dayanidhi Bisoi, SJ, the JYOTI Coordinator, inaugurated the Tournament at 2.00 P.M. on 16 November. The Tournament was conducted smoothly under the leadership of Ms.Suprabha Panda, the sports teacher of DBMS School supported by Ms.Sana Mirza and Ms.Nalanjana Chakravarthy, the Moderators of JYOTI Unit of DBMS High School and their JYOTI Members. A total of 26 teams participated in the Tournament that included the High School Boys, Senior Boys and Girls category.

JYOTI TOURNAMENT 2018

The Sixth Volleyball Tournament was held from 1 to 3 November, 2018 in DBMS High School, Kadma. A total of 24 teams from JYOTI Collaborating Schools participated in this Tournament. The Management, Staff and students of the aforementioned School left no stone unturned to make the Tournament a grand success. Finally D.B.M.S. High School, Kadma and Sacred Heart School emerged as the top two teams and winners in Boys’ and Girls’ category in the Tournament. Fr.Dayanidhi Bisoi, SJ; the Coordinator of JYOTI thanked the Management and Staff of DBMS, Kadma for their generosity. This School has been hosting the Tournament consecutively for the last six years.

JYOTI TOURNAMENT 2019

The JYOTI Volleyball Tournament-2019 was held at the DBMS High School from 14-17 August 2019. The Chief Guest for the opening function was Mr.Srinivasan, the President of DBMS Management while Fr.Dayanidhi Bisoi, SJ, the Coordinator of JYOTI was the Guest of Honour for the inaugural ceremony. The Tournament was conducted smoothly under the leadership of Ms.Suprabha Panda, the sports teacher of DBMS School supported by Ms.Sana Mirza and Ms.Nalanjana Chakravarthy, the Moderators of JYOTI Unit of DBMS High School and their JYOTI Members.

JYOTI TOURNAMENT 2022

The JYOTI Volleyball Tournament-2022 was held at the DBMS High School from 3 to 5 November, 2022. Fr.C.G.Thomas, SJ; the Coordinator of JYOTI was the Chief Guest while the Management and Principal of DBMS High School were the Guests of Honour for the opening function of the Tournament. The JYOTI Unit of the aforementioned School along with their Moderators Mrs.Sana Mirza and Mrs.Soma Mazundar organized the Tournament smoothly. Mrs.Suprabha Panda supervised the Tournament and guided the JYOTI Members in planning and execution.
