LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS Training Youths to be Leaders of Tomorrow's India

From the time of its establishment, JYOTI has been organizing Leadership Camps, Motivational Seminars to train the youths with leadership skills. This event had taken a back seat for a number of years. But under the Coordinatorship of Fr.Dayanidhi Bisoi, SJ;  Leadership Training program was revived in 2017 in the form of Annual Motivational Seminar. Eminent speakers from different parts of the country are invited to conduct the sessions for JYOTI Members on different relevant topics with an aim to equip them with soft skills. More than 1000 Members participate in this Motivational Seminar  every year who come from all the JYOTI Units in the city of Jamshedpur. 

MOTIVATIONAL SEMINAR 2017 Date: June 24, 2017

Theme: "Be the Change Yourself"

Motivation Seminar was organized in Arrupe Hall in Loyola School. Mr.Vijay Kumar, IRS, the Deputy Inspector of Income Tax, of East Singhbhum District was invited as the Main Guest Speaker who spoke on the topic “Be the Change Yourself.” He kept the audience in rapt attention by his captivating talks on the above mentioned topic. Mr.Vijay who hails from a humble background made a huge impact on JYOTI Members with his heart touching stories of his personal life struggle and how he worked hard to overcome hurdles in life.

The second Guest Speaker of the Seminar was Mr.Tony Castleton, a Professor of XITE Xavier College, Gamharia. It was fitting to have him interact with our Members as he was one of the First Group of JYOTI Members  in 1970. He efficiently conducted the group discussions and plenary sessions. His sessions were well appreciated by the JYOTI Members and all the Moderators who guided their Unit Members to a fruitful participation and group interaction.

Theme: "Caring for our Common Home"

JYOTI  organized a motivational workshop for the JYOTI Members on 21 June, 2018 at Arrupe Hall in Loyola School, Jamshedpur. The theme of the seminar was–“Caring for our Common Home”. JYOTI invited two resource persons for this one day’s seminar. Miss.Devopriya Dutta, a member of Tarumitra which is an ecological conservation Movement having its head office in Patna, was the resource person. She addressed the JYOTI Members on the ecological crisis and how each person can work towards saving the only planet that supports life.

Mr.Sandeep Singh Bhogal

The 2nd Speaker of the day was Mr.Sandeep Singh Bhogal, a Senior Teacher from Loyola School, Jamshedpur. He effectively communicated his message through PowerPoint presentations.  He kept the audience in rapt attention. His talk was thought-provoking and inspiring. The 700 audience of students sitting in Arrupe Hall of Loyola School, appreciated his inputs. His inputs on becoming the agents of social change was further taken in the group discussion. Fr. Dayanidhi Bisoi, the JYOTI Coordinator thanked him for his valuable inputs and talks to JYOTI Members.

Theme: "Daring to be Agents of Compassion"

JYOTI organized a Motivational Seminar for JYOTI Members on 26  November, 2019 at Fasy Auditorium in Loyola School, Jamshedpur. The theme of the seminar was–“Daring to be Agents of Compassion”. JYOTI invited two resource persons for this one day’s seminar. Mr.Ajeet Singh, a renowned philanthropist and social worker and the founder of Gudia India, was the First Speaker. He who is considered the messiah of sex workers in the city of Baranasi interacted with JYOTI Members. Mrs.Tahmina Akhtar, the Loyola School Moderator along with Miss.Arushi chaired the session. His dedicated life for the rehabilitation of the sex workers and their children was a great source of inspiration to all the listeners. He spoke on the above mentioned topic emphasizing on how to cultivate a sense of love and concern for people living in the lower rung of society.

Dr.Indrajeet Mahatha, IPS

Dr.Indrajeet Mahatha, IPS, a renowned Superintendent of Police, Chaibasa, an unsung hero of compassion who spoke on the above mentioned topic in narration to his own life struggles and hurdles. His life and work was a great source of inspiration to all the listeners. He inspired and motivated the students to aim high and become  agents of compassion in a world where selfishness and greed has ruined humanity. He kept the audience in rapt attention and his precious words made a huge impact on JYOTI members. The session ended with question and answers from the floor that was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Pandey, Mrs.Jayanthi Seshadri, the Registrar of Loyola School. 

At the end of the day the JYOTI Members have had a lot of satisfaction of having listened to these unsung heroes of compassion and love.

Theme: "Physical and Mental Wellbeing"

JYOTI (Jamshedpur Youth Organization for Tomorrow’s India) organized a motivational workshop for JYOTI members on 25 June, 2022 at Fasy Auditorium in Loyola School, Jamshedpur. The theme of the seminar was–“Physical and Mental Wellbeing.” JYOTI invited two resource persons for this one day’s seminar. Dr.Amit Mukherjee, Head of Administration of Tinplate Company and a renowned surgeon and a social worker in Jamshedpur, was one the resource persons. His life and work was a great source of inspiration to all the listeners. He dealt with the above mentioned topic successfully where stressed on how to cope with the post COVID situation that had impacted our mental health.

Mr.Gurpreet Kaur

The Second Guest speaker for the seminar was Mrs.Gurpreet Kaur, an established educationist, a noted social worker and a philanthropist from Jamshedpur. She is a member of an NGO called ‘JEEVAN’ that spreads pro-life awareness through talks, seminars and counselling in the city of Jamshedpur. She  spoke on the above topic and gave the students ways to cope with mental stress after the COVID -19. She spoke effectively and gave tips to students on how to keep healthy in day-to-day life. She conducted live sessions through yoga nidra and relaxation meditations. The staff and students appreciated her inputs very much.
